The notion of Internet and www seems to be the substitution for each other. However, the www a.k.a world wide web is built on the top of the Internet network.

如果说互联网(Internet)是数据传输的管道，各个建立在互联网之上的程序(其实这里application 理解成更广义上的程序会更好)都会使用。那么，www is the biggest application built on the Internet, and it is a huge distributed application running on millions of servers worldwide.

We use web browser to get access to the www, the web application.

Hyperlink 和associative indexing的核心概念是一样的。

web page and document

web pages are the most common type of hypertext document today.

Then the web pages are parsed and rendered by our web browser, and shown in the common form we see and use in our life.
